Every summer, S.O.A.R. offers a life-changing international internship for a select group of high-performing scholars. This immersive program allows our youth to apply what they've learned in our Virtual Business & Hospitality programs in real-world settings abroad. From hands-on hospitality training to cultural exchange and community service, this internship bridges education with experience—preparing tomorrow’s global leaders today.
Led by the heart of our mission—and inspired by our CEO Rosie McCamery’s own international internship at 16—we continue this journey to give back, grow forward, and open the world to our youth.
Purpose
The S.O.A.R. International Internship was created to connect top scholars from our Business & Hospitality programs with real-world, global experiences. Inspired by CEO Rosie McCamery’s own international internship at 16, this program gives youth the chance to explore hospitality and service beyond the classroom—turning learning into action while expanding their worldview.
Core Objectives
Our internship develops young leaders through cultural exchange, service projects, and hands-on hospitality work. Scholars grow their leadership skills, represent S.O.A.R. in youth-led entrepreneurship workshops, and engage in meaningful community outreach—all aligned with our mission to empower youth through excellence and impact.
What It Entails
Each summer, up to 15 scholars are selected to travel abroad for two weeks of immersive learning. Activities include volunteer service, cultural tours, hospitality site visits, and peer-to-peer workshops. Scholars are guided by S.O.A.R. chaperones and local partners, applying what they’ve learned in real and impactful ways.
Impact
This experience helps scholars grow personally and professionally, giving them confidence, purpose, and a global mindset. At the same time, host communities benefit from youth leadership, shared learning, and support for local initiatives. It’s a mutual exchange that leaves a lasting impact on both sides.
