S.O.A.R. Hospitality & Travel YLC, Inc. is a multifaceted 501c3 non-profit organization aimed at empowering youth in underserved communities to become future change agents, excelling in their academics while leading the charge in the fields of hospitality, travel, business, and entrepreneurship.
We Believe
that success is not solely determined by external factors, but also by the mindsets, determination, and efforts of individuals. By believing in the potential of our community and its youth, and by providing the necessary tools and opportunities, we're setting the stage for growth, empowerment, and success that can indeed match and even surpass our counterparts.
Our Vision
To be a proficiently performing academic organization, with nationally and internationally recognized programs noted for showcasing the potential of our inner-city youth. To promote values, integrity, and respect for others and their community while broadening individual scholastic achievement.
My Inspiration
My journey began the moment my feet embraced the immaculate golden sands of Oistins, Barbados. Never before had I encountered a body of water so clear, so immaculate, and so serene. At that time, I was a high school student hailing from the West End of Louisville, KY actively enrolled in my school’s Travel & Tourism (T&T) and Aviation Magnet program. This internship marked the first of many expeditions I would embark upon through the T&T program, and served as my inaugural venture beyond national boundaries. For the first time I was able to see the world through a markedly diverse and eclectic lens, ultimately changing the trajectory of my life and my perspective on it. Now, it is time for me to sow that very seed and PAY IT FORWARD!
